Confused about correspondences? Come to this class to learn how to balance your intuitive awareness and personal preferences with established correspondences to find the best choices for magical tools such as incense, crystals, and more, depending on your personal path and a working’s intent. Magical correspondences help you draw on a multitude of energy sources from nature and your own thoughts and feelings, empowering your magic to better achieve your goals.
Exciting news! I’ll be teaching a class on magical correspondences at Sacred Circle bookstore in Alexandria, VA, on Saturday, May 7th, from 1pm to 3pm. The class is $25 if you register by two days ahead, $35 after that. You can register by calling Sacred Circle at 703-299-9309.
The idea for this class came from the fact that so many sources of correspondences contradict each other. If Cunningham says that a plant is feminine, but Culpepper insists that the plant is ruled by Mars, and therefore masculine, who do you believe? How do you use it in ritual? What about colors: are all green stones automatically related to the heart chakra? There’s no one authority that’s perfect, but that doesn’t mean you just have to guess, either.
Using some recent research on how human beings create and classify relationships, including ideas based on myths, stories, or similarities, we’ll talk about why different authors give conflicting information and how to choose the best correspondences for you to do effective ritual and magic.

I just wanna see the assigned reading.
I’ll share the handouts with you once I get them finished. That’s about the best I can do.
